Renee Minnich brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education enrollment management and a genuine passion for helping students find the school where they truly belong. Since joining Educational Connections, she's helped students gain admission to over 120 colleges and universities, including Cornell, Clemson, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Bucknell, William & Mary, and George Washington University, among many others.

Renee spent nearly three decades at the Rochester Institute of Technology, one of the nation's leading research universities, rising from Admissions Counselor to Senior Associate Director. Along the way, she worked with a remarkably wide range of students: first-year applicants, transfer students, and international students from RIT's global campuses in China, Croatia, and Kosovo. She evaluated thousands of applications and made admissions and merit award decisions across RIT's competitive programs in engineering, technology, business, art, and design. As a senior member of the Admissions Committee, she helped shape the composition of each incoming class. She knows how selective schools think because she was part of that process for decades.

That knowledge comes to life in how she works with students today. Renee takes a personalized approach and loves the opportunity to start early, as soon as 8th grade, when possible. But she's equally at home working with rising seniors who need to move quickly and confidently. Whatever the timeline, she's committed to making the college search feel clear and manageable for both students and their families. She's also an active member of NACAC and NYSACAC, staying current on an admissions landscape that’s constantly evolving.

Renee holds a B.S. in Human Resource Management and a professional certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UC Riverside. She recently relocated to Georgia. And as a mother, she knows firsthand what this process feels like from the parent side, having guided her own two children through college applications.
