CAREER COACHING FOR YOUNG ADULTS
Personalized Support for College Students and New Grads to Build Career Direction
Your young adult is capable and intelligent, but many students and young professionals struggle with the transition from college to early adulthood.
They're suddenly expected to manage things that were never explicitly taught:
- Exploring career paths
- Building professional connections
- Organizing job searches and applications
- Following through on opportunities
- Making decisions about what direction to pursue
In most cases, the challenge isn’t motivation. It's the tough job market and underdeveloped executive function skills. These are the abilities needed to plan, stay organized, get started, and follow through on complex goals.
At Educational Connections, we know the real magic happens when we pair career strategy with the planning, accountability, and follow-through skills that actually get things done.
Through our virtual Career Coaching program, your young adult will get the support they need to move forward with clarity, traction, and momentum.
In Just 20 Minutes, We'll Map Out a Plan For Your Young Adult.

What You’re Seeing at Home
They did what they were supposed to do. They got through college (or are about to graduate). And now… nothing is really happening.
Maybe your young adult says they’re applying to lots of jobs, but you’re not seeing results. Maybe they start strong, then lose momentum. Or maybe every conversation about “what’s next” seems to go nowhere. You ask what their plan is. They don’t have an answer, or they shut down.
And before you know it, you’re stepping back in—reminding, checking, trying to keep things moving. It starts to feel like high school all over again. And you’re left wondering… how do I help without doing this for them?
Our Career Coaching for Young Adults program is designed to close that gap.
We help college seniors and new college graduates (even resistant ones) move from feeling stuck to making steady, consistent progress.
the real work begins
What We Work On In Career Coaching Sessions
Our coaching is 100% online and focuses on practical systems that help young adults build direction and traction in their early careers.
how we do it differently
The EC Take Action Model
Over time, this builds the executive function skills your young adult needs, not just now, but long-term as they build their career.
1
Clarify the Goal
We start by helping your young adult define a clear, realistic direction so they know what they’re working toward.
2
Break It Down
Then we take big, overwhelming goals and break them into manageable, specific steps.
3
Anticipate Obstacles
Your 20-something creates a weekly plan and learns how to follow through even when things don’t go as planned.
4
Reflect and Adjust
Each week, we look at what’s working, what’s not, and adjust the plan to keep momentum going.
How Career Coaching Actually Works
Your young adult meets virtually with an expert Career Coach who helps them take strategic and sustained action toward their career goals.
Our program includes 8 hours of coaching, typically scheduled as one or two one-hour sessions per week. Everything works around your young adult's schedule.

What This Looks Like in Practice
This isn’t passive coaching. Your young adult is actively working through the job search process with expert guidance.
During sessions, they’ll set a few clear, realistic goals for the week and break them into manageable, scheduled tasks. They’ll work through real job search actions, like networking and interview prep, and build the planning and prioritization skills they need to stay on track.
Between sessions, they’ll follow through on those tasks, practice consistency, and begin to take more initiative on their own.
Each week builds on the last, so progress becomes more consistent and more visible.

What Progress Can Look Like From College To Career
We meet young adults where they are, whether they’re avoiding the process, applying to jobs inconsistently, or feeling overwhelmed about where to start.
After a few weeks of our Career Coaching for Young Adults program, it begins to shift.
- They have a clearer weekly plan.
- They’re following through more consistently.
- They rely less on you to manage the process.
- They start taking more initiative on their own.
- And most importantly, you start to see real momentum, whether that’s interviews, clearer direction, or meaningful next steps.

Built for 20-Somethings with ADHD
Young adults with ADHD often struggle with the exact skills needed for a successful job search: planning ahead, managing time, getting started, and staying consistent.
That’s why this approach works well for 20-somethings with and without ADHD.
Our coaches understand how to break tasks into manageable steps, reduce overwhelm, and build momentum through small, consistent wins.
We don’t rely on pressure. We build systems that work.
